New Scholarship Allocation Established to Support Students Impacted by Wang Fuk Court Tragedy

W4CAA offers the George Shen Ministry Scholarship to support students who demonstrate strong Christian service, zeal in campus evangelism, commitment to inductive Bible study leadership, solid academic performance, and financial need. The scholarship honors George Shen (1946–2021), a devoted servant of God known for his ministry among Chinese students.

The Scholarship Committee announces that applications for the George Shen Ministry Scholarship for the upcoming academic year (2026–27) are now open and continue to be accepted.

In response to the tragic fire that occurred in November at Wang Fuk Court (宏福苑) in Tai Po, Hong Kong, the Committee has authorized the allocation of one additional scholarship award for this cycle. Priority consideration will be given to applicants who have been directly affected by the incident. If applicable, please indicate your Wang Fuk Court impact status under “Other” in Section 1 on the application form and briefly describe any special circumstances.

All eligible students are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible. Further information may be obtained from the Scholarship Committee.

NB: If an applicant still in Hong Kong and have not yet applied to college in the US, it’s still not too late. Many 2-yr community colleges in California are still accepting applications.
