2026 Thematic Bible Conference

W4C Alumni Association will hold its annual Thematic Bible Conference at Williamsburg, VA, this Independence Day long weekend, 3–5 July 2026, to the theme ‘Nehemiah : Rebuilding and Renewing’. We shall study the book of Nehemiah, as a natural continuation of last year’s focus on Ezra (See past TBCs). Participation is available either at our main site in Williamsburg, Virginia, our satellite sites in Los Altos, California, and in Oxford, England, or through your own Internet connection via Discord. Registration is now open. Please register below on our registration form.

During this year’s conference, we shall have 3 to 6 group Bible study sessions, where we study passages in the book of Nehemiah.

We shall listen to lectures of the late David Pawson, a prominent biblical expositor, on the background of the the rebuilding and restoring after Israel had returned to the home land.

A keynote lecture will also be given by Richard Yen, on “What Daniel Tells Us about Nehemiah’s Mission”.

Other keynote lectures will be announced later.

On Sunday during worship, the 2024 W4C Winter Conference (KLC) keynote speaker Lue-Yee Tsang will preach on a Psalm related to the 2026 TBC theme.

And for conferees fluent in Cantonese, additional exposition sessions and short lectures will feature Stephen Lee (李思敬) and Bernard Wong (黃國維), past and current presidents of CGST (中國神學研究院), on aspects of the repatriation.

Conference Schedules and Locations

The conference runs three full days from 3 to 5 July 2026.

A schedule similar to last year’s TBC will be forthcoming.

The main conference venue will be a resort in Williamsburg, Virginia, with in‑suite amenities including a jacuzzi and sauna. Beginning April 26, a lodging fee of $50 per night will apply to each registrant unless the conferee arranges his own accommodations.

Satellite sites such as Silicon Valley and Oxford will open if sufficient registrations are received by June 1. A registration fee of $20 or £15 will be due upon confirmation that the site will open. Online access will be available free of charge to all who register by June 1.

Bible Study Leader Training

We are offering three tracks for Bible study leader training:

Track 1: How to Lead Inductive Bible Study: An Introduction

This is our basic training for a literate Christian believer to begin leading inductive Bible studies, whether at school, at work, or at home.

Track 2: Intermediate Bible Study Skills

For those who have already completed our basic training, we offer a second track to further develop Bible study skills.

2a. How to use Group Dynamics to Enhance Objectivity (Richard Yen).

2b. Word Study Techniques (Richard Yen).

2c. Evangelistic Bible Studies (Pak-Yan Liang).
Some trained inductive Bible study leaders wish to hone their skills specifically for evangelism, to help enquirers come through inductive Bible study to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. This track is for them.

2d. Introduction to Biblical Interpretation (Michael Yung).

Track 3: Advanced Bible Study Skills

3a. Hybrid Textual Outline (Michael Yung).

3b. Setting Questions from Outline (Michael Yung).
